We begin Friday morning, please arrive no earlier than 12 noon on Thursday. You may arrive or leave at any point during the event.
Following a light breakfast (8:00 – 9:30), we gather in an OPENING CIRCLE (9:30), to share a few songs, exercises, logistical info, and introductions to whatz to come for the day.
Whatz to come are offerings (aka ‘class’, ‘workshop’, etc. .) in the morning (10:15 – 12:15), early afternoon (2:30 – 4:30), and late afternoon (4:45 – 6:45).
Lunch is at 12:30 and dinner at 7:00.
Evening activities include fireside song circles in the sky lodges. These each have a fire tender, and a facilitator, who lightly keeps song sharing happening in a traditional Singing Alive way that encourages equitable sharing, and welcoming space for novice singers.
Various formal ceremonies (e.g., letting go; grief; forgiveness; honoring ancestors; honoring cultures; fertilizing wishes . . ) may be happening thru-out the gathering.
High volume voices and instrumentation dial way down after midnight if there is camping nearby. There will be a couple hours of (semi-) silence between 6–8 am.
A marketplace / barter fair happens Monday afternoon, so feel free to bring things to sell or trade.
We will officially end Monday afternoon, after the marketplace. People are welcome to stay for dinner Monday evening, though we ask that campsites are packed up and cars moved to the registration field before dinner. There will be no entry into the event Tuesday. Thank you!
